Administrative structure
Following the terms of the Founding Act, BPI is governed by an Administrative Committee. The committee should have three members, if the Director of the Institute is a senior employee of the Ministry of Rural Development and Food: the other two members being from the Benaki family. Otherwise, the committee will be of five members: three from the Benaki family, one representative of the Ministry of Rural Development and Food, and the Director of the Institute.
BPI’s operations are governed by its Regulation (Gov. Gazette 1155/Β/1998).
The Institute is certified according to ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 27001:2022, and 8 out of its 15 Laboratories are accredited under the terms of ISO 17025:2017.
