BPI provides laboratory testing of diseased or pest-infested plants and plant products for identification of pathogenic or non-pathogenic causal agents and pests. Samples are sent from the various departments and branches of the Hellenic Ministry of Agricultural Development and Food, from farmers, civilians, and companies from all regions of Greece. Samples have to be accompanied by an informative
Data Sheet describing their background and history. There is also a daily reception service and samples can be brought in person to BPI.
