The Institute is well equipped with modern infrastructure that allows it to pursue successfully its objectives.
Development and study of plants, insects and other organisms:
- 1.0000m2 of greenhouse installations
- Growth chambers with regulated temperatures
- Breeding unit for laboratory rats
- Insect breeding, under controlled conditions of temperature, humidity, and photoperiod
Detection, identification and study of pathogens and beneficial insects:
- Photometer ELISA, spectrophotometers (simple and atomic absorption)
- Visible light microscopes, fluorescence camera, stereoscopes
- Environmental data recorders
- Chambers with controlled conditions of temperature, humidity, and photoperiod
- Precision laboratory spray
- Apparatus for distillation of essential oils
Molecular analysis:
- PCR, both conventional and real-time

Chemical analysis and study of physical properties:
- LC-MS-MS, GC-MS-MS, GC-MS, GC (ECD, NPD, PFPD, FID), HPLC (DAD, FLD)
